BOSTON – The men’s #AEHoops season hit the midway point over the weekend and through eight games, Bryant remains perfect and sits atop the league standings at 8-0. Maine is 6-2 and in second place while Vermont is in third at 5-3 and UMass Lowell in fourth at 4-4. All America East games can be watched on ESPN+.
The Week That Was
- Bryant won a pair of road games last week, at UMBC and at NJIT to extend its win streak to eight games and stay atop the league standings at a perfect 8-0.
- Binghamton also won twice last week, beating Vermont on Thursday and winning at UAlbany on Saturday. The win over the Catamounts snapped the Bearcats 22-game losing streak in the series.
- Maine, UMBC, UMass Lowell and Vermont also picked up wins last week.

- Bryant looks to stay perfect in league play at it hosts Bryant on Thursday before visiting Binghamton on Saturday.
- Maine looks to rebound from its first loss in seven games when it hosts NJIT and UMBC.

Gavin Walsh, Binghamton – So., Forward, Baltimore, Md.
- Averaged 16 points and 14 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Bearcats.
- Shot 53 percent from the floor (10-of-19), including 56 percent from three-point land (5-of-9).
- Had 17 point and 13 rebounds to help Binghamton snap a 22-game losing streak vs. Vermont on Thursday.
- Followed up with 15 points and 15 boards, is league-leading 10th double-double of the season, in a win at UAlbany on Saturday.
- This is Walsh’s second #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Martin Somerville, UMass Lowell – Fr., Guard, Bowie, Md.
- Averaged 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in two games last week.
- Had 15 points and seven rebounds at NJIT on Thursday.
- Contributed 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in a win at UMBC on Saturday.
- This is Somerville’s ninth #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor of the season, tied for the second most in league history.
