Bryant, UMBC, and New Hampshire were able to secure the home wins while UAlbany took down Maine in Orono. at Bryant 61, Vermont 53 – Box Score After a tight first half Bryant was able to hold Vermont to just six points in the third quarter. The Bulldogs shot 46% from the field and had four starters score in double-digits. Vermont’s Nikola Priede led all scorers with 17 points and 12 rebounds while Maranda Nyborg had 15 points and four boards for Bryant. at UMBC 53, UMass Lowell 51 – Box Score The River Hawks outscored UMBC 18 to 11 in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory. The Retrievers had eight different players score in the two-point victory. UMBC now moves into a tie for third with Maine and NJIT. The Retrievers will travel to take on NJIT Saturday at 1pm. at New Hampshire 65, Binghamton 38 – Box Score New Hampshire only allowed 10 second-half points in the victory while shooting 47% from the field. Eva DeChent, of New Hampshire, led all scorers with 23 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Binghamton was led by Bella Pucci who chipped in 14 points and four boards. UAlbany 56, at Maine 40 – Box Score A dominant fourth quarter secured the win for the Great Danes. Shooting 44% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc, UAlbany had a balanced attack. Maine was led by Caroline Dotsey who had 14 points and six boards while Jessica Tomasetti had a season-high 17 points and career-high 12 rebounds for UAlbany. The Great Danes secured a top 4-seed and home quarterfinal game in #AEHoops playoffs.
