BOSTON – The 2025 season got underway over the weekend with four teams in action. UMass Lowell downed rival Merrimack, 14-9, to record the first #AEMLAX win of the season.
All seven #AEMLAX programs are in action this week, incluiding UAlbany, Binghamton and UMBC making their season debuts.
The preseason poll was announced on January 14.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of the #AEMLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Offensive Player of the Week
Riley Lawhorn, UMass Lowell - Sr., Midfield, Amherst, N.H.
- Recorded a career-high five goals in a 14-9 over Merrimack on Saturday.
- This is Lawhorn's first career #AEMLAX Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jack Combs, Vermont - So., LSDM, Indialantic, Fla.
- Had seven ground balls, two caused turnovers and scored a goal vs. #2 Syracuse.
- This is Combs' first career #AEMLAX Defensive Player of the Week.
Goalkeeper of the Week
AJ True, UMass Lowell - Fr., Goalkeeper, Manchester, N.H.
- Had a .625 save percentage stopping 9-of-15 shots he faced in a win over Merrimack.
- This is True's first career #AEMLAX Goalkeeper of the Week honor.
Faceoff Specialist of the Week
Henry Dodge, Vermont - Jr., Faceoff, Westport, Conn.
- Went 12-18 from the faceoff spot with five ground balls against #2 Syracuse.
- This is Dodge's first #AEMLAX Goalkeeper of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
JC Echezuria, NJIT - Fr., Attack, Levittown, N.Y.
- Recorded five points (3 G, 2 A) in his collegiate debut against St. John's on Feb. 8.
- This is Echezuria's first career #AEMLAX Rookie of the Week honor.
