BOSTON – This past weekend featured two conference matchups as Binghamton competed at NJIT, while UMBC hosted a tri-meet with UMBC, VMI and Howard.
UMBC took down both Howard and VMI, while the Binghamton men edged NJIT 176.5-123.5. The Bearcat women competed against CCSU. Bryant faced off against Holy Cross in the other meet of the weekend.
This weekend, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont all compete at the Harold Anderson Invitational while VMI and Binghamton are in action as well.
2025-26 #AESD Women’s Weekly Award Winners – Nov. 11
Female Swimmer of the Week
Ruby Tonelli-Smith – Sr., Ventura, Calif.
- Swept her individual events, winning the 100 fly in 55.37 and the 200 fly in 2:04.39.
- Both the 100 fly and 200 fly times are top three in the league this season.
- This is Tonelli-Smith’s first #AESD Swimmer of the Week honor of the season.
Female Diver of the Week
Megan Beasley, Bryant – Jr., Harrogate, England
- Broke school record in the 3-meter diving event with a 301.20, the best by 19 points in the league this year.
- Recorded a 268.88 in the 1-meter event as well.
- This is Beasley’s second #AESD Diver of the Week honor of the season.
Female Rookie of the Week
Julia Iwanow, Binghamton – Fr., Portland, Ore.
- Took top honors in the 100 breast (1:05.84) and 200 breast (2:22.99) and also swam on the victorious 200 medley relay team.
- This is Iwanow’s sixth #AESD Rookie of the Week honor.

Male Swimmer & Rookie of the Week
Yonatan Ahdut, NJIT – Fr., Jerusalem, Israel
- Broke the pool and school record in the 1,000 free with a time of 9:17.39 to win the event against Binghamton. His time leads the America East and is a CSCAA A-Cut time.
- Finished second in the 500 free with a time of 4:36.59.
- This is Ahdut’s first #AESD Rookie of the Week honor this season.
Male Diver of the Week
Christopher Buonocore, Bryant – Sr., Long Beach, N.Y.
- Won both the 1-meter in a school-record score of 338.40.
- His 1-meter score is the best in the conference this season by nearly 40 points.
- This is Buonocore’s fourth #AESD Diver of the Week honor this season.
