Men's #AEHoops Jan. 30 Recap

Home teams enjoyed success on Thursday going 3-1. Binghamton, Maine and NJIT all won on their home court while Bryant was the lone road squad to pull out a win.

Bryant stayed perfect and atop the league standings at 7-0 with a win at UMBC, while Maine won its sixth-straight game to move to 6-1. Binghamton snapped its 22-game losing skid against Vermont to improve to 2-5 while NJIT also moved to 2-5 with a win over UMass Lowell.

Bryant 92, at UMBC 86  – Box Score
Bryant closed the game on a 12-5 run to improve to 7-0 in league play for the first time in its Division added 17 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Marcus Banks had a game-high 30 points for the Retrievers.

at Binghamton 75, Vermont 72 – Box Score
Binghamton shot 50 percent from the floor and used an 18-2 second-run to snap its 22-game losing skid to the Catamounts and post its first win in five games overall. Wes Peterson Jr. scored a career-high 18 points while Gavin Walsh added 17 points and 13 rebounds. Shamir Bogues had a season-high 21 points for Vermont.
 
at Maine 71, New Hampshire 46 – Box Score
Maine jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back to post their sixth-straight win. Quion Burns scored 17 of his 26 points in the first half and shot 9-of-12 from the floor to go with eight rebounds. Kellen Tynes added 14 points and four steals. Sam Pissis had 20 points for UNH.

at NJIT 83, UMass Lowell 62 – Box Score
NJIT used a key 10-0 second-half run and outscored UMass Lowell by 15 after the break to post their largest margin of victory against a Division I foe this season. Tim Moore Jr. scored a career-best 24 points and added 15 rebounds while Tariq Francis added 20. Quinton Mincey led the River Hawks with 18 points.
