BOSTON – Home teams went 3-1 in women’s #AEHoops action on Thursday, including UMBC’s upset win over UAlbany. The Great Danes came into the day a perfect 6-0 in conference play while the Retrievers were 0-4. Bryant, Maine and Vermont also picked up victories.

UMBC jumped out a 23-9 lead after a quarter of play and never looked back to earn its first league win. The win snapped UAlbany’s six-game win streak. Talia Davis had 21 points to pace UMBC while Kayla Cooper’s 24 points led the Great Danes.
at Bryant 42, New Hampshire 41 – Box Score
Ali Brigham’s hook shot from the right baseline as time expired gave the Bulldogs the win as they improved to 3-3 on the season. Bryant got 31 of its 42 points from its bench, led my Mimi Rubino’s 11. Maggie Cavanaugh’s 17 points paced UNH.
Vermont 60, at NJIT 38 – Box Score
Vermont held NJIT to a season-low 38 points and only 31 percent shooting to win its fifth-straight game. Keira Hanson’s 19 points off the bench led the Catamounts. Melissa Gingrich and Olivia Kulyk each had 10 to lead the Highlanders.
at New Hampshire 70, NJIT 48 – Box Score
Maine shot 59 percent from the floor in a wire-to-wire win over UMass Lowell, its third-straight win. Caroline Dotsey scored 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting off the bench for Maine. Abbey Lindsey’s 16 points paced UMass Lowell.
