#AETF Week 4: All Nine Schools, Back in Action

BOSTON –  For the first time in the new year, all nine #AETF schools were in action throughout the Northeast. In just over a month, all nine schools will descend upon Boston for the 2024-25 America East Indoor Track and Field Championship meet.

This upcoming weekend, Bryant, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont will head to Boston as UMass Lowell hosts their River Hawk Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance, while UAlbany, Binghamton, UMBC, and NJIT will travel to the Big Apple to compete in the Dr. Sander Invitational at the NYC Armory

2024 #AETF Weekly Award Winners – Jan. 21

Male Field Athlete of the Week
Brian Luciano, Binghamton - Rs- So., Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
  • Luciano won the weight throw at the Cornell Upstate Challenge, breaking his school-record with a toss of 21.20m.
  • His mark currently ranks No. 24 in the nation.
Male Track Athlete of the Week
Sean Kennedy-Wonneberger, UMass Lowell - Jr., East Haddam, Conn.
  • Kennedy-Wonneberger crossed the line first at the Battle in Beantown running a personal-best, 4:03.87, in the mile.
  • His time currently ranks first in the conference 

Male Rookie of the Week
Gabriel Sisk, UMass Lowell– Fr., West Hartford, Conn.
  • In his second collegiate-outing Sisk ran 1:20.75 to place fifth in the 600m at the Battle in Beantown

Female Field Athlete of the Week
Stephanie Green, UAlbany– Grad., Kingston, N.Y.
  • Green recorded a personal-best, 18.35m, in the weight throw to place first at the Ramapo Season Opener
  • Her mark currently ranks second in the conference 

Female Track Athlete of the Week
Jenna Chan, Binghamton– Grad., Jenna Chan, Binghamton
  • Chan clocked 8.44 in the 60 hurdles to cross the line first at the Cornell Upstate Challenge.
  • Chan's time tied her own school-record and ranks first in the conference this season.

Female Rookie of the Week
Ruth White, New Hampshire– Fr., Orono, Maine
  • Ruth won the 5,000m at the Bates Invitational running 16.46.40 on the flat track.
  • Her time currently ranks first in the conference
