BOSTON – America East will once again highlight its #SpreadRespect and #EndRacism initiatives with events at select basketball games throughout the month of February. The Spread Respect nights will highlight the conference’s collective commitment to help end racial inequality and promote social justice in America East communities and beyond.
As part of #SpreadRespect nights, both teams will wear specially designed shooting shirts prior to all games again this year that support Spread Respect and End Racism messaging. All events will take place in February during Black History Month.
"These long-standing events raise awareness for issues that are deeply important to our student-athletes and coaches and help bring discussion about them to forefront on our campuses and in our communities," said America East Commissioner, Brad Walker.
