#AEXC Week 1: Eight Programs Open 2024 Season

BOSTON -  Eight of nine #AEXC Programs opened their 2024 season this past weekend, including four competing at the Vermont Invitational.
 
The Catamounts swept the Vermont Invitational on Saturday afternoon in a preview of the course that will be used for the 2024 #AEXC Championship in November, taking down New Hampshire, Maine and UMass Lowell. Elsewhere, NJIT and UMBC both competed on Friday while UAlbany and Binghamton raced in New York State on Saturday.

#AEXC Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 3
Female Performer of the Week 
Lexi Tepper, UMBC – So., Cherry Hill, N.J.
  • Took first overall at the Mount St. Mary’s 5K Duals, winning by over 17 seconds with a strong finish.
  • Finished the 5K race in a time of 18:13.14 to secure the win.
 
Female Rookie of the Week 
Siena Stanley, Vermont – Fr., Bristol, Vt.
  • Placed fifth overall and had the best finish of any freshman at the Vermont Invitational.
  • Finished with a time of 18:45.9 in the 5K race.
 
Male Performer of the Week 
Charlie Collins, Maine – So., Hampden, Maine
  • Earned first career victory in dual meet against Army.
  • Finished the 8K course in 24:52.1.
 
Male Rookie of the Week 
Daniel Danilovitz, UMBC – Fr., Moosic, Pa.
  • Finished third overall at the Mount St. Mary’s 5K Duals as UMBC took the top six spots.
  • Finished the 5K course in 15:24.03.
