BOSTON – Three teams competed this weekend, all with strong efforts.
Bryant and UMass Lowell participated in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday morning in rainy conditions.
Also on Saturday, Vermont competed in two different meets, the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State and then the short trip to St. Michael’s to compete in the Equality Invitational.

Female Performer of the Week
Mary-Kate Finn, UMass Lowell – Jr., Nashua, N.H.
- Captured the JV race crown at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at a time of 17:25.8.
- Finn raced at a 5:36 pace on the 5K course.
Female Rookie of the Week
Georgia Brooks, UMass Lowell – Fr., Groton, MA.
- Finished 58th at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational with a time of 19:19.28.
- Brooks raced at a 6:13 pace, which ranked seventh-best for freshmen in the race.
Male Performer of the Week
Jan Wouter Van Den Akker, UMass Lowell – Sr. Groningen, Netherlands
- Garnered the 8K JV title at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday at a time of 25:04.48
- Van Den Akker maintained a 5:02 pace and propelled the Riverhawks to win the team competition.
Male Rookie of the Week
Patrick Hall, UMass Lowell – Fr., Billerica, MA
- Hall finished 13th in the 8K JV UMass Dartmouth Invitational with a time of 25:59.84.
- The Billerica, MA native finished top five for freshmen in the race.
