BOSTON – Success against power conferences continued last weekend as Binghamton knocked off Rutgers for its first-ever win over a Big Ten program. The win is the second for an #AEVB team vs. a Big Ten team this season after UNH beat Maryland earlier in the year.

- Bryant won the Black Knight Invitational going 4-0 after beating Army, Hofstra, Sacred Heart and Holy Cross. The Bulldogs extended their win streak to five to improve to 9-2 on the season.
- The Bearcats extended their win streak to six matches by winning the Rutgers Invitational after wins over the hosts, VCU and Hofstra.
- UNH beat Louisiana on Friday before pushing Texas A&M to five sets on Saturday in a losing effort.
- NJIT went 2-2 last week with wins over Idaho and Siena.
- Nineteen more #AEVB matches take place this weekend, including eight at home.

Player of the Week
Tsvetelina Ilieva, Binghamton – Gr., Outside Hitter, Sofia, Bulgaria
- Registered 4.8 kills per set at a .389 average clip in three wins for Binghamton last week
- Led Binghamton to its first-ever Big Ten win at Rutgers, 3-0, with a team-high 16 kills at .484.
- Also added 1.5 digs per set.
- This is Ilieva’s first career #AEVB Player of the Week honor of the season and sixth of her career.
Setter of the Week
Carolina Camacho, Bryant - Sr., Setter, Durado, P.R.
- Averaged 5.8 assists per set and had a set percentage of .389 to lead the Bulldogs to a perfect 4-0 week.
- Helped Bryant hit .222 overall as a team last week.
- Added 2.4 digs per set.
- This is Camacho’s first career #AEVB Setter of the Week honor.
Defensive Specialist of the Week
Doga Emil, NJIT – Jr., Libero, Istanbul, Turkey
- Averaged a league-best 6.1 digs per set in a 2-2 week for NJIT.
- Surpassed 20 digs in a three-set match twice this week.
- Named to the Siena Invitational All-Tournament Team
- This is Emil’s first #AEVB Defensive Specialist of the Week honor of the season and second of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Ema Torres, NJIT – Fr., Outside Hitter, Gondomar, Portugal
- Averaged 2.9 kills/set and hit .333 in 2-2 week for NJIT.
- Added 1.2 digs/set.
- Named to the Siena Invitational All-Tournament Team.
- This is Torres’ first career #AEVB Rookie of the Week award.
