Baltimore, MD - The 2024 Outdoor #AETF Championships got off to a rainy start at UMBC starting with the 10,000m in both men and women.

The men kicked the day off starting with a tight 10,00m race, followed by the women’s 10,000m. UMass Lowell men’s team leads the way with 60 points followed by New Hampshire and Maine with 35.5 and 27 points respectively.
On the women’s side, Bryant is leading the pack with 41.5 points and UAlbany (36) and Vermont (35) round out the top 3 for the women’s scores.
The women’s results were highlighted by Mackenzie Wilson of Maine who crushed the hammer throw record set in 2018. Wilson broke the record by over 6 feet.
Day 1 Highlights
- UMass Lowell’s Kenzie Doyle became the 3-time champion in the 10k for outdoor finishing with a time of 35:44.48.
- Luke Marsanski of Maine earned gold in the 10k in a tight race clocking in at 31:27.86.
- Jennifer Mui of Binghamton took home gold in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:52.04.
- Ibrahim Khairat from UMBC placed first in the men’s long jump 24’ 1” sweeping both indoor and outdoor titles.
- Joseph Young Jr. of UMass Lowell became the two-time 3,000m steeplechase after taking gold with a time of 9:06.59.
