Men's Lacrosse 5/23/2024 10:00:00 AM Piseno and Laliberte Named USILA All-Americans Boston, MA - Two America East men’s lacrosse standouts have been named All-Americans by the USILA. Jake Piseno of UAlbany was selected as the William C. Schmeisser Defensive Player of the Year and First Team honoree, while Bryant’s Nate Laliberte was chosen as an honorable mention selection. Piseno, the America East Defensive Player of the Year shut down opponents this year leading the conference and ranked third in the nation in caused turnovers per game at 2.44. He also ranks eighth in the conference and in the top 50 nationally with 4.6 ground balls per contest. Piseno capped the season scoring 13 goals and added six assists with the long pole. Laliberte, America East First Team honoree, had an impressive season as a faceoff specialist. Laliberte ended the season ranked first in the nation and in the conference in faceoff percentage of .628 winning 203 faceoffs. Laliberte also added seven goals and six assists in the season.
