INDIANAPOLIS – America East Commissioner Brad Walker has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee. Walker’s appointment begins immediately and continues through June, 2028.
“I am thrilled to be selected to and represent the America East Conference on the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee,” Walker said. “I’m looking forward to this opportunity to contribute to this important committee and impact the advancement of men’s basketball.”
The Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee ensures that appropriate oversight of men’s basketball is maintained, enhances the development and public perception of the sport and make recommendations related to regular season and postseason men’s basketball. It also prioritizes enhancement of the student-athlete educational experience and in doing so, promote student-athletes’ personal growth and leadership development.
The MBOC also oversees selection procedures for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and reviews recommendations from the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee on issues related to the administration of the championship.
Prior to becoming America East Commissioner, Walker served as Head of Operations for the NBA G-League for five years. He also played college basketball at Bentley University.
