BOSTON – A super-competitive #AEMLAX regular season wrapped up over the weekend and the conference championship is set for next week at UAlbany’s Casey Stadium.
In a wild final day of the regular season on Saturday, three teams secured bids while two others who came into the day tied for second place, were eliminated. Vermont beat UMBC,15-13, to secure its bid while Merrimack beat Bryant, 16-14, to eliminate the Bulldogs. That result put the Retrievers in the tournament, but the Warriors did not clinch until the Great Danes knocked out the Bearcats with an 18-10 win.
The America East Men’s Lacrosse Championship will go through Albany. The UAlbany Great Danes captured their first #AEMLAX regular-season title since 2018 with a win over Binghamton on Saturday. Vermont, UMBC and Merrimack earned the other three bids as the seeds and matchups for the 2024 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship, which takes place May 2 & 4, were finalized up on Saturday.

The preseason poll was announced on January 16.

Offensive Player of the Week
Graydon Hogg – Gr., Attack, Oshawa, Ont.
- Tallied seven points on five goals and two assists to lead UAlbany to a win over Binghamton that clinched the America East regular-season title.
- This is Hogg’s third #AEMLAX Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Henry Vogt, Merrimack – Sr., Goalkeeper, Strathham, N.H.
- Made a career-high 20 saves in Merrimack’s key win over Bryant that clinched the Warriors a championship berth.
- Recorded a .588 save percentage and also picked up 10 ground balls.
- This is Vogt’s first #AEMLAX Defensive Player of the Week of the season.
Faceoff Specialist of the Week
Henry Dodge, Vermonnt – So., Faceoff, Westport, Conn.
- Went 10-of-15 on faceoffs with six ground balls and scored his first career goal in Vermont’s key win over UMBC.
- This is Dodge’s fourth #AEMLAX Faceoff Specialist of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Ryan Doherty, Fr., Attack, Concord, N.H.
- Scored four goals and had a caused turnover in UAlbany’s win over Binghamton.
- This is Doherty’s second career #AEMLAX Rookie of the Week honor.
