BOSTON – It came down to the final day of the regular season, but the bracket is set for the 2024 Jersey Mike’s America East Men’s Basketball Playoffs! Just four days from the start of the #AEPlayoffs, the final four seeds were determined, solidifying the quarterfinal matchups.
The excitement of postseason basketball will take place on a minimum of four America East campuses for the 10th-straight season on the men’s side with the higher seeds hosting each round. Vermont is the top seed for the seventh time in the last eight seasons and joined as a quarterfinal host by #2 UMass Lowell, #3 Bryant and #4 New Hampshire.
- Vermont (25-6 15-1 AE) – First #AEHoops team to win eight-straight regular-season titles; No. 1 seed for the 12th time; winners of 16 of last 17 games
- UMass Lowell (20-9, 11-5 AE) – Seeded #2 for second-straight year; Looking to reach the #AEPlayoffs Championship game for a third time in last four seasons; Second-straight 20-win campaign
- Bryant (19-12, 11-5 AE) – Three-spot leap from last year after being seeded No. 6
- New Hampshire (15-14, 7-9 AE) – Top four seed for the fourth-straight year, the best stretch in program history
- Binghamton (15-14, 7-9 AE) – Tied for fourth and earned #5 seed for second-straight season
- Maine (15-16, 7-9 AE) – Best seed since 2016
- UMBC (11-20, 6-10 AE) – Won four of last six games entering the playoffs
- UAlbany (13-18, 5-11 AE) – Qualified after missed #AEPlayoffs last year

Tonight, Binghamton overcame a double-digit deficit to beat UMBC, 72-71 on the road and earned the No. 5 seed. Maine withheld a late surge from UMass Lowell to earn a 71-65 win at home to garner the No. 6 seed. Vermont outlasted UNH, 68-64, behind a career-high 23 points from Sam Alamutu and Bryant defeated UAlbany, 83-79.
Quarterfinal action takes place on Saturday, March 9 with No. 3 Bryant hosting No. 6 Maine at 2 p.m. to kick off the action. Three contests tip off at 3 p.m. with #1 Vermont hosting #8 UAlbany, #2 UMass Lowell welcoming #7 UMBC and #4 New Hampshire entertaining #5 Binghamton.
The four quarterfinal winners will square off in the semifinals on Tuesday, March 12 at the two highest remaining seeds. The bracket will be re-seeded with the highest-remaining seed hosting the lowest-remaining seed and the second-highest remaining seed hosting the second-lowest remaining seed.
The two semifinal winners will play for the America East title and an automatic NCAA bid on Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at the highest remaining seed’s home court. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.

All 2024 #AEPlayoffs action can be watched on ESPN networks. The quarterfinals will air on ESPN+ as part of The AE on ESPN with a simulcast for international viewers on AmericaEast.TV. One semifinal will air on ESPN2 at 5 p.m. while the other will be on ESPN+. The championship game will be nationally televised on ESPN2. All three rounds will also be available via the ESPN app.
