#AEMLAX Week 6: Five Programs Earn Victories

BOSTON – All eight #AEMLAX programs were in action last week and five came away with wins, including NJIT who improved to 7-0 on the season, while Vermont used a strong second half to take down No. 20 UMass 13-12.

The Catamounts secured their first signature victory of the season, taking down #20 UMass 13-12 on the road this past Saturday. UVM built a 13-10 led and held off a late charge from the Minutemen to win their first-ever game against UMass. NJIT continued its winning with an 18-5 win over DI newcomer Lindenwood.

UAlbany earned its first win of the season, 14-10 over Hobart, while Bryant improved to 4-2 with its 16-5 drubbing of Fairfield on Wednesday. Binghamton also won, 13-12, over Mount St. Mary’s in overtime.

Conference play kicks off this weekend, highlighted by NJIT traveling north to Vermont for a battle against last year’s regular season champion. Bryant plays at UMBC, while Binghamton welcomes Merrimack. UAlbany comes east to face off against UMass Lowell in the final contest. All four matchups begin at noon.

The preseason poll was announced on January 16.
