BOSTON – Vermont continues to stand alone atop the America East men’s basketball standings and now holds a two-game lead after some upsets on Saturday.
Need to Know
- After road teams went 18-10 to start league play, home teams protect home court last week going 6-2 including a perfect 4-0 on Thursday.
- Vermont extended its nation-leading conference winning streak to 23 games with wins over UAlbany and Binghamton and sit atop the league standings at 8-0.
- The Catamounts are one of just five teams in the country still unbeaten in conference play.
- The Catamount defense held UML and Bryant to 15 and 22 points below their season average in the wins. UVM is 6-0 in league play while the other two dropped to 5-1.
- UMBC beat UAlbany 114-102 on Saturday. The 216 combined points the most ever in an America East conference matchup in regulation and second-most ever. UNH beat Delaware 113-111 in overtime in 1995.
- Tyler Bertram sank 10 three-pointers and scored a career-best 36 points for UAlbany on Saturday. The 10 treys are tied for the third most in a league game in conference history and the most since 2019.

- Scored 31 points and added 12 boards vs. Bryant on Thursday.
- This is Brown’s second #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of the season and second of his career.

- Scored 32 points and collected 12 rebounds to lead UNH to a 16-point win at second-place UMass Lowell on Saturday.

- Scored a career-high 24 points in UMBC’s 114-102 win at UAlbany on Saturday.
