BOSTON – Binghamton came through with its biggest conference win of the season, while UAlbany, Maine and New Hampshire also secured victories on Saturday afternoon.
Binghamton 66, Vermont 57 – Box Score
The Bearcats pulled off their biggest win of the season with an impressive second half. Binghamton trailed Vermont 29-20 at the half, but pulled within two after three quarters and went off for 27 points in the final quarter to secure the nine-point victory. Jadyn Weltz came through with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists while Denai Bowman had 18 points and four rebounds. Anna Olson added 17 points and five rebounds in the loss.
UAlbany 69, UMBC 55 – Box Score
The Great Danes led just 22-17 at the half but outscored UMBC by nine points in the third quarter to take control and push the lead as high as 16 points before finishing with the 14-point win. Meghan Huerter connected on five threes for 15 points with five assists, while Kayla Cooper added 18 points and 14 rebounds. Anna Blount had 17 points for UMBC.
Maine 70, Bryant 58 – Box Score
Olivia Rockwood helped lead the Black Bears to a huge road win with a career-high 24 points on eight threes Saturday. Maine led 17-7 after ten minutes and stretched the lead to 54-36 through three quarters on the way to victory. Adrianna Smith came through with 16 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and three steals. Mariona Planes Fortuny led three in double figures with 19 points and seven rebounds.
New Hampshire 66, UMass Lowell 52 – Box Score
The Wildcats grabbed a 12-7 advantage in the opening ten minutes and outscored the River Hawks in the second for a 31-14 lead at the half. The offense kept rolling over the final 20 minutes to finish with a 14-point victory. Diana Eliasson led a balanced attack with 12 points and three assists while Clara Gomez had eight points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and six steals. Mili Carrera led UMass Lowell with 15 points.
