Bryant escaped at Binghamton and New Hampshire held strong at home. NJIT 71, UMass Lowell 64 – Box Score The Highlanders didn’t have any let up after a win against UVM on Thursday, grabbing an impressive 42-28 lead over UMass Lowell in the first half. The River Hawks made a run in the second half to cut the deficit to four, but NJIT never backed down and hit its free throws to come away with the victory. Tariq Francis had 26 points and seven rebounds, while Elijah Buchanan added 21 points off the bench. Quinton Mincey had a team-high 21 points off the bench. Vermont 72, UMBC 70 – Box Score The Catamounts started the game 1-for-19 from the field and trailed UMBC 25-5 in the first half. They fought back to close the gap to just 35-37 at the half. The Retrievers pushed the lead back to 11 and led 61-53 with 4:35 left, but Vermont came back to take a 70-67 lead with 51 seconds remaining. UMBC tied it up, but Shamir Bogues made the game-winning layup with less than two seconds left. Bogues finished with 23 points, while TJ Long had seven points and 11 rebounds. Dion Brown led UMBC with 25 points. Bryant 70, Binghamton 69 – Box Score In the opening half, the Bulldogs shot just 29% as Binghamton grabbed a 30-25 advantage. However, they found their grove in the second half, shooting 60.1% from the field. Bryant made its final seven free throws of the contest to hold off the Bearcats and a three at the buzzer provided the one-point final score. Earl Timberlake had 21 points and eight rebounds while Tyler Brelsford added 14. Dan Petcash led Binghamton with 17 points and ten rebounds. New Hampshire 60, Maine 57 – Box Score The Black Bears jumped out to a 36-33 lead at the half. However, the Wildcats tied it up four minutes into the second half. The teams went battled until a late run by UNH pushed the lead to seven points and led by three with 13 seconds left. The Wildcats then denied Maine a shot attempt in the final seconds to earn the win. Jaxson Baker paced UNH with 18 points and ten rebounds as four players reached double figures.
