Ten #AEFH Student-Athletes Named NFHCA All-Region

BOSTON – Following an impressive 2024 season, ten #AEFH student-athletes were named All-Region by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association this week, including four on the first team.

Five different programs had at least one All-Region honoree, led by New Hampshire with three. UAlbany, UMass Lowell and Vermont each had a pair of honorees, though the Great Danes were the lone program with a pair of first-team selections.

This marks Alison Smisdom’s fourth First-Team All-Region selection as she finished her career third in league history in both points (174) and goals (74). Both Cookman and de Ruiter were named First Team for the third consecutive season. Drees, meanwhile, secured her second career all-region honor after leading UVM to its first-ever conference title.
