Field Hockey 12/17/2024 12:02:23 PM Smisdom & Cookman Named NFHCA All-Americans BOSTON – For the third consecutive year, UAlbany’s Alison Smisdom and New Hampshire Tasmin Cookman have been named All-Americans as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Tuesday. Smisdom earned her third consecutive First-Team All-America honor, the second player in school and league history to achieve that honor. She joins Paula Heuser, who was a three-time first-team selection from 2024-2016. Smisdom concluded her impressive career as a three-time #AEFH Midfielder of the Year. She is third in league history with 174 career points and third with 74 career goals. Earlier this month she was honored as the Northeast Region Player of the Year for a second straight season. Cookman also secure All-America recognition for the third straight season, taking home third-team honors. She was a second-team selection in 2023 and named third-team as a freshman in 2022. Cookman earned her second straight #AEFH Offensive Player of the Year honor in 2024, finishing third in the league with 32 points on 13 goals and six assists.
