BOSTON – UAlbany stretched its record to 9-1 while Binghamton also went unbeaten last week in non-conference action.
The Week That Was
- UAlbany improved to 9-1 with a pair of impressive wins last week. The Great Danes doubled up Boston University 72-36 and then beat St. Bonaventure 64-48.
- UMass Lowell started the week with a 49-48 victory while Binghamton closed the week with a hard-fought 64-62 victory at Siena on Sunday.
- Bryant lost a close decision to Brown and fell at Boston College.
- Maine and Vermont dropped contests to St. Joseph’s and Quinnipiac respectively while NJIT also fell twice.
Looking Ahead
- There are just 11 games on the schedule this week, with a few big-time matchups.
- UAlbany hosts Merrimack and then travels out to face Wisconsin on Friday.
- Vermont has a pair of tough road games against Princeton and Buffalo this week.
- Binghamton hosts Syracuse on Wednesday looking for a second #AEHoops win over the Orange this year.
- New Hampshire plays Pitt and Brown this week as well as they look to stay over .500.

- Averaged 16.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.0 steal and 1 block per game in a pair of big wins.
- Posted a double-double of 15 points and ten rebounds (six offensive) in a doubling up Boston U. on the road 72-36.
- Had 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 16-point win over St. Bonaventure
- This is Cooper’s fourth #AEHoops Player of the Week honor this season.
Rookie of the Week
Martina Borrellas, UAlbany – Fr., Guard, Barcelona, Spain
- Averaged 4.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game in a pair of wins.
- Finished with three points, four rebounds, three assists in a win at Boston University.
- Came off the bench with five points, three rebounds, one block and one steal against St. Bonaventure.
- This is Kulyk’s third #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor this season.
