20 #AEXC Student-Athletes Named All-Academic

BOSTON – On Tuesday, 20 men and women’s #AEXC student-athletes were recognized for their academic achievements, as member of the 2024 America East Cross Country All-Academic teams.
 
The men’s #AEXC All-Academic Team featured five of the top eight finishers in this year’s #AEXC Championship, highlighted by individual champion Luke Marsanskis of Maine. Elite 18 award winner and runner-up Ryan Slaney was also selected for the third consecutive year.

The women’s side featured seven repeat honorees from 2023 and two more who were honored in 2022. 2024 #AEXC individual champion Mary-Kate Finn makes her second appearance while teammate Mary Yount and Maine’s Lydia Gilmore each earned their third All-Academic nod. 2024 runner-up Jasmine Trott was selected for a second straight year.

To be eligible for All-Academic, student-athletes must have sophomore athletic eligibility, attain a 3.30 minimum grade-point average and be a contributor on their team. The squad is voted on by a committee comprised of America East student-athlete support and athletic communications administrators as well as faculty athletic representatives.
