It came down to the final day to determine the 2024 America East Volleyball Championship bracket and it was Binghamton who earned the regular-season season title and top seed for the championship. The Bearcats will host next weekend’s four-team tournament at the Events Center and welcome No. 2 New Hampshire, No. 3 UMBC and No. 4 UAlbany to Vestal.
Semifinal action gets underway on Friday, Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. as Binghamton hostsUAlbany in the first match followed by UNH and UMBC battling at 7 p.m in the nightcap. The winners will meet for the #AEVB title on Saturday at 4 p.m. Tickets for the championship can be purchased here. All matches of the 2024 #AEVB Championship will be air on ESPN+ domestically and AmericaEast.TV internationally.
Binghamton, which will host the championship for the second time in the last three years beat NJIT, 3-0 on Sunday, to earn its second-ever regular-season title. The Bearcats will face UAlbany in the semifinals after the Great Danes beat Bryant, 3-1, on Saturday to earn the No. 4 seed. UAlbany recovered from an 0-3 start in league play by winning five of its final seven matches to qualify.
New Hampshire downed UMBC, 3-0, on Sunday to earn the No. 2 seed for the second-straight year. The Retrievers are the No. 3 seed and seeking to become the first-ever America East program to win five-straight tournament titles.
