BOSTON – After claiming the program’s first-ever #AEFh Championship, Vermont found out its selection in the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Sunday evening.
The Catamounts (11-8) will travel to Northwestern to face Miami (OH) (13-7), the Mid-American Conference tournament champions. The matchup is slated for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 and the action from Northwestern's Lakeside Field will be broadcast on ESPN+.
2024 NCAA Tournament Bracket
The Redhawks come into the NCAA Tournament after claiming their seventh consecutive MAC Tournament championship on Saturday by defeating top-seeded James Madison 3-0. Last season in the NCAA Tournament Miami faced California, the 2023 America East Champions, in the Opening Round. They beat the Golden Bears 3-0.
Vermont won the 2024 #AEFH Championship as the No. 4 seed and have won seven of its last eight games. The Catamounts shut out No. 5 UMass Lowell 2-0 and then edged top seed UAlbany 1-0 in the semifinals. In Sunday’s championship they fell behind No. 2 New Hampshire, but outscored the Wildcats 3-0 in the second half to secure their first-ever title.
The winner of Wednesday's contest will advance to face the host and No. 2-seed Northwestern (19-1) on Friday at 1 p.m.
