Maine Women's Soccer to Face Wisconsin in NCAA First Round

BOSTON – Fresh off the program’s second straight America East Women’s Soccer Championship, Maine will face off against No. 5 Seed Wisconsin in the opening round of the NCAA Championship on Friday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Black Bears are 13-1-3 this season and unbeaten in their last 12 matches. Their only loss this year was a 3-0 defeat at Rutgers back on Sept. 1. Maine currently ranks fifth in the nation in win percentage at .853 and is coming off a 3-0 victory over New Hampshire in the #AEWSOC Championship on Sunday evening.
 
Wisconsin enters the NCAA First Round as the No. 5 seed on their side of the bracket. They were 9-5-4 overall and 5-4-3 in the Big Ten, but lost in the 1-0 in the opening round of the conference tournament to No. 10 Ohio State. The Badgers did player Rutgers at home this season, where they lost 1-0.
 
The winner of Maine/Wisconsin plays the winner of Princeton and No. 4 Virginia.
