BOSTON – Two unbeaten teams remain three weeks into #AEWSOC conference play as Maine and New Hampshire both won twice last week to improve to a perfect 4-0-0 on the season. The two teams share the top spot in the conference standings with 12 points apiece while Bryant and Vermont are tied for third with six points each,
Need to Know
- Maine beat both UMass Lowell and Bryant last week to improve to a league-best 8-2-1 on the season. The Black Bears have won six straight games.
- Maine’s 1-0 win over the River Hawks on Thursday extended its home unbeaten streak to 23 games, the longest stretch in conference history.
- UNH beat both UAlbany and NJIT last week to extend its win streak to four games and improve to 9-2-1 in the process.
- The Wildcats have not allowed a goal in four conference games and only let in five total in their 12 games this season. Their .417 team goals-against average ranks in the top 10 nationally.
- UNH goalkeeper Sally Rainey is tied for fourth nationally with eight shutouts and ranks 10th with a .417 GAA.
- Both UNH (69) and Maine (76) rank in the top 80 in RPI.
- Vermont was the only other #AEWSOC team to win twice last week. The Catamounts beat NJIT and UMBC behind five points from Kate Bossert, who earned America East Offensive Player of the Week honors as a result.
- Binghamton won its lone game of the week by completing a thrilling comeback at UMBC to earn a 4-2 victory on Thursday. Trailing 3-1 late in the game, the Bearcats scored three times in the final 5:21 to earn the improbable win.
- UAlbany snapped its 10-game winless streak (0-9-1) and earned its first conference win on Sunday with a 3-2 victory over UMass Lowell at home.
- The top six teams in the conference standings at the end of the regular season will earn America East championship bids. All games will be played at the higher seed. Check out Championship Central for more information.

- Tallied a league-best five points in a perfect 2-0 week for Vermont.
- Assisted on the game-winning goal vs. NJIT on Thursday.
- Scored twice in the first half of the Catamounts’ 3-1 win over UMBC on Sunday.
- This is Bossert’s first #AEWSOC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season and second of her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sally Rainey, New Hampshire – Jr., Goalkeeper, West Lebanon, N.H.
- Registered two more shutouts last week, giving her a league-best eight on the season.
- Made three saves, including two spectacular ones late in the game, in a 2-0 win over UNH on Sunday.
- This is Rainey’s third #AEWSOC Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season and the fifth of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Jahkaya Davis, Binghamton – Fr., Forward, Mississauga, Ontario
- Scored twice in Binghamton’s lone game of the week, a thrilling 4-3 comeback win over UMBC.
- Got Binghamton on board in the 32nd minute to cut the deficit to 3-1.
- Sparked the Bearcats’ late rally wither her goal in the 85th minute to bring her team within one.
- This is Davis’ first career #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor.
