BOSTON – The 2024 America East women’s soccer regular-season is winding down and the playoff picture is getting clearer. With just one date left in the regular season, all six conference championship bids are locked up.
Need to Know
- UNH beat UMBC, 3-2, on Sunday to secure a top-two seed for the America East Championship.
- Maine extended its home unbeaten streak to 25 games with a 2-2 tie vs. NJIT. The Black Bears came back from a 2-0 deficit with goals in the 73rd and 84th minutes.
- UNH and Maine will meet in Durham on Thursday with the regular-season title on the line. A Maine win or tie would give the Black Bears their first-ever crown while a Wildcat win would give them their first since 2017.
- Binghamton, UMass Lowell, Bryant and Vermont all earned tournament bids on Sunday.
- The River Hawks staked the Bearcats to a 3-0 lead before storming back to earn a 3-3 tie.
- Binghamton has secured a home quarterfinal game and will be seeded No. 3 or No. 4.
- Bryant and Vermont played to a 1-1 tie earning both teams bids.
- The top six teams in the conference standings at the end of the regular season will earn America East championship bids. All games will be played at the higher seed. Check out Championship Central for more information.

Offensive Player of the Week
Meghan Guarente, New Hampshire – Sr., Forward, Sewell, N.J.
- Scored twice in UNH’s 3-2 win at UMBC.
- The goals were her ninth and 10th of the season.
- This is Guarente’s first #AEWSOC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season and third of her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Samantha Constantine, NJIT – Sr., Goalkeeper, Oakton, Va.
- Made five saves in NJIT’s 2-2 tie vs. Maine.
- The deadlock snapped the Black Bears’ eight-game win streak.
- This is Constantine’s first career #AEWSOC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Anna Buckwalter, Binghamton – Fr., Midfielder, Birdsboro, Pa.
- Scored Binghamton’s first goal in a 3-3 tie vs. UMass Lowell.
- This is Buckwalter’s fifth #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Bella Ramirez, NJIT – Fr., Forward, Mullica Hill, N.J.
- Scored NJIT’s first goal in a 1-1 tie vs. Maine
- This is Ramirez’s first #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
