BOSTON – Six #AEXC squads hit the trails during the holiday weekend.
On Friday, Maine and UMass Lowell competed in the Bruce Kirsch Invitational at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds. Bryant, New Hampshire, and Vermont took part in the New England Championships, which were also held at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds. Meanwhile, NJIT hosted the Mets Championships and Highlander Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Looking ahead to this weekend, NJIT and UMBC will participate in the ECAC Championships, while UMass Lowell returns to action at the Pre-National Invitational in Madison, WI next weekend. Finally, Vermont welcomes UAlbany, Bryant, and Binghamton to take part in the Fall Foliage Invitational on Sunday in St. Albans, Vt.

Female Performer of the Week
Jasmine Trott, Bryant – Jr., Garforth, Leeds, U.K.
- Placed second at the NEICAAA Championships with a time of 17:13.98.
- Trott broke the school record in the 5k and propelled the Bulldogs to a top-five team finish
Female Rookie of the Week
Bailey Hall, New Hampshire – Fr., Yardley, Pa.
- Finished 28th out of 198 competitors at the NEICAAA Championships with a time of 18:41.73.
- Ignited the Wildcats to a first-place finish this weekend.
Male Performer of the Week
Luke Marsanskis, Maine – Gr., Cumberland, Maine
- Secured first overall at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup at 24:10.55.
- Helped the Black Bears take first place at the event.
Male Rookie of the Week
Carter Libby, Maine - Fr., Gray, Maine
- Crossed the finish line with a career-best 8k time of 25:50.3.
- Took 13th place out of 124 participants at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup.
