BOSTON – No. 13 UAlbany stretched its win streak to eight with a pair of victories, including one over a top-20 program, while the New Hampshire offense was unstoppable this past weekend.
Need to Know:
- The Great Danes opened the weekend with a tight 2-1 victory over UMass Lowell, in a matchup of last year’s co-regular season champions. They kept up the strong play on Sunday with an impressive 4-2 win over then No. 14 Liberty.
- New Hampshire started #AEFH play with a 6-2 victory at Bryant and then returned home to blow out Providence 6-2.
- Maine won its conference opener, 3-1 against Vermont, but dropped a 2-1 decision to Fairfield. The Catamounts rebounded to silence Stonehill 5-0.
- This Friday UC Davis travels to battle New Hampshire, while UMass Lowell hosts Bryant. UAlbany is at Hofstra in non-conference action.
- On Sunday, the Great Danes host No. 8 UConn, while Maine welcomes UC Davis in the lone conference contest of the day. UNH welcomes Northeastern, while UML battles Northeastern.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kathelijne Knuttel, New Hampshire – So., Forward, Groningen, Netherlands
- Recorded five goals and one assist for 11 points in a pair of wins.
- Scored twice in a 6-2 victory at Bryant.
- Finished the week with three goals and one assist in a win over Providence.
- This is Knuttel’s first #AEFH Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Merle Vaandrager, Vermont – Fr., Goalkeeper, Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Went 1-0 in 90 minutes of action, with a 0.00 GAA and eight saves.
- Played the second half against Maine, not allowing a goal while stopping two shots.
- Made six saves in a shutout of Stonehill.
- This is Vaandrager’s first career #AEFH Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Faye Meijer, New Hampshire – Fr., Midfield, Purmerend, Netherlands
- Tallied one goal and four assists for six points in a 2-0 week.
- Finished with one goal and one assist in an #AEFH win over Bryant.
- Had three assists in a victory against Providence.
- This is Meijer’s first #AEFH Rookie of the Week honor.
