BOSTON – League play kicked off on Saturday with road teams winning three of the four conference openers. All games matter with the top four teams in the league standings at the end of the regular-season earning home games in the #AEPlayoffs.
The Week That Was
- Vermont beat Brown on Tuesday, the 68th non-conference win by America East teams this season, the most since the 2008-09 campaign.
- UAlbany, Bryant, UMass Lowell and Vermont each won their league openers.
- Sherif Gross-Bullock torched UMBC for a career-high 41 points on 16-24 shooting to lead Bryant to an 81-67 win at UMBC.
- Vermont won its 16th straight game against #AEHoops foes but battling back for a 65-58 win vs. Maine. Ileri Ayo-Faleye led the way with 14 points for the Catamounts.
- Brayden O'Connor scored a career-best 23 poitns to lead UMass Lowell to its third-straight win, an 82-75 victory at New Hampshire.
- UAlbany improved to 9-7 and won its league opener for the first time since the 2019-20 season with a 79-73 win at NJIT.
Looking Ahead
- Thursday's UMBC at Vermont matchup will air on ESPNU at 7 p.m. The two teams have decided three of the last five America East titles.
- Maine hosts New Hampshire Thursday in the 224th all-time edition of the Border Battle.
- UAlbany, whose nine wins already eclipse last year's total, hosts Binghamton on Saturday.at 4 p.m.
- Bryant visits UNH on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a rematch of last year's #AEPlayoffs quarterfinals matchup.

Fans will once again be able to watch every #AEHoops game this season regardless of where they live! The majority games will air on The AE on ESPN, either ESPN+ or ESPN3, in the United States. Games will also be available internationally on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.
The UMBC at Vermont matchup on Jan. 11 was announced as a nationally televised contest.
The men’s #AEHoops preseason poll was announced on Oct. 18.
