BOSTON – UAlbany hasn’t lost in almost two months, and they welcome Maine, who is also undefeated in conference play on Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest which will give the victor sole possession of first place. In other contests, Vermont looks to improve to 5-1, while Bryant and Binghamton are also home.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 25
Maine (5-0 AE) at UAlbany (5-0 AE) – 7 PM
Tomorrow the Black Bears travel to face the Great Danes, who have won 12 straight overall and 18 consecutive home games. Maine won 11 straight against UAlbany from 2018-2022, but has lost three of four to the Great Danes and two straight.
UAlbany has won its five conference games by an averaged 16.0 points per game, ranking second in both scoring offense (67.0) and scoring defense (51.0). The team is also shooting 39.7 from beyond the arc and own a rebound margin of 9.2. Kayla Cooper has taken her game to another level in #AEHoops action, averaging 20.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Helene Haegerstrand has been solid with 9.4 points 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.
Maine has won by an average of 24.2 points per game with the top offense (70.0.) and scoring defense (45.8). The Black Bears are outrebounding teams by 14.6 rebounds per game while making a league-best 5.8 threes per game. Adrianna Smith leads the league in both scoring (21.8) and rebounding (11.8) while shooting 55% from the floor. Anne Simon has done it all to the tune of 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.2 steals per game.
UMass Lowell (3-3 AE) at Vermont (4-1 AE) – 11 AM
The Catamounts host the River Hawks for a matinee as they look to extend their win streak to four games. They have won each of their last three games by at least 13 points and in #AEHoops play rank third in scoring (60.8) and scoring defense (53.2). The River Hawks have dropped two straight after a 3-1 start to league play. They’re fourth in the conference, averaging and giving up 59.3 points per game.
NJIT (0-5 AE) at Bryant (2-3 AE) – 6 PM
The Bulldogs seek to rebound from a tough loss against UAlbany when they host NJIT. Three of their last four games have been decided by two points or less and Bryant is currently fifth in scoring (58.4) and sixth in scoring defense (60.4). The Highlanders have struggled in league play, ranking ninth in both scoring (49.4) and scoring defense (70.4).
New Hampshire (2-4 AE) at Binghamton (1-4 AE) – 6:07 PM
Coming off back-to-back wins, the Wildcats look to make it three straight on the road at Binghamton. UNH has scored 58-52 points in each of its six games, ranking sixth in offense (54.8) and fifth in scoring defense (59.5). The Bearcats surpassed 70 points for the first time in a month and rank seventh in both scoring (54.4) and defense (61.6).
