BOSTON, MA - All 9 #AETF programs competed this past weekend. This weekend of competition was highlighted by individual performances of broken school records, personal best performances, and some breaking into the national rankings. On the team front, the Binghamton women’s team took second and third for women’s and men’s respectively at the Bucknell Gulden Indoor Meet. New Hampshire hosted Maine in their annual Border Battle. The New Hampshire men’s team took gold while the Maine women placed first. At the Middlebury Winter Classic, the Vermont women took home silver, while the men finished first overall.
This week the first regional rankings were announced. For the men there are 4 #AETF teams in the top-25 of the Northeast region with Maine men leading at 12, and two in the top-25 for the Mid-Atlantic region with NJIT ahead at 17. On the women’s side NJIT and UMBC are in the top-20 rankings at 18 and 19 respectively. In the Northeast region, UAlbany leads the pack at 12th, with 4 other schools joining them in the top-25 rankings.

Female Track Performer of the Week
Sophia Ryan, Binghamton
- Took gold in the 1000m with an impressive time of 2:46.50. Ryan earned Most Outstanding Performer at the Bucknell Gulden Indoor Meet
- Ryan’s time puts her at 1st in the conference at ranked 16th nationally
Female Field Performer of the Week
Ava Roberts, UMBC
- Roberts placed 1st in the shot put with a throw of 50’ 1.25”. This distance puts her at 1st in America East, 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic region and is the 3rd best throw in UMBC history
- She also placed 4th in the weight throw with a distance of 53’ 3’, which puts Roberts at 6th in the conference standings
Male Track Performer of the Week
Mark Unger, UMBC
- Placed 1st in the 800m. Unger ran a time of 1:53.06.
- His time ranks him first in the conference, 9th in the Mid-Atlantic region and 6th in UMBC history
Male Field Performer of the Week
Jordan Lindinger-Asamoah, NJIT
- Took second in the triple jump. Lindinger-Asamoah jumped a new personal best distance of 50’ 6”, also setting an NJIT school record.
- Lindinger-Asamoah is now ranked 2nd in America East and is tied for 32nd nationally
