BOSTON – The men’s #AEHoops season hit the quarter pole last week and three teams still remain unbeaten. UMass Lowell sits at 5-0 while Vermont and Bryant are both 4-0 with the three teams winning their last16 games combined.
Need to Know
- Road teams have had success early on in conference play going 12-8 overall, including 7-1 last week.
- UMass Lowell and UNH each won a pair of games on the road last week.
- The River Hawks extended their win streak to seven games with wins at Binghamton and UAlbany.
- UMass Lowell is 5-0 in America East play for the first time.
- Bryant and Vermont each won its lone game of the week, with the Bulldogs beating UAlbany, 98-89, on Saturday and the Catamounts beating Binghamton, 82-62 on Thursday.
- Bryant has won four in a row and six of its last seven games.
- Vermont’s win streak vs. America East foes is up to 19 games.
- A pair of marquee matchups take place with UMass Lowell hosting Vermont on Thursday in a rematch of last year’s America East Championship game and the Catamounts then visiting Bryant on Saturday.

Player of the Week
Earl Timberlake, Bryant – Sr., Guard, Washington, D.C.
- Scored a career-high 26 points to lead Bryant to a win at UAlbany in its his lone game of the week.
- Added nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
- Shot 61 percent from the field (11-for-18).
- This is Timberlake’s third men’s #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of the season and fourth of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Tariq Francis, NJIT - Fr., Guard, Pittsburgh, Pa.
- Averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two games off the bench last week.
- This is Francis' fifth #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor of the season, all in the last six weeks.
