UAlbany (3-0 AE) at UMass Lowell (3-1 AE) – 11 AM
Thursday’s matinee features two of the hottest teams in the league. The Great Danes have won 10 straight overall, while the River Hawks have claimed three straight wins. In conference play, UAlbany is outscoring opponents by 20 points per game, while averaging 68.7 points per contest. UMass Lowell has been impressive, scoring 60.5 per game while allowed just 55.3 in #AEHoops action. Kayla Cooper is second in the league in scoring (18.3) and fifth in rebounding (7.0). Rookie of the Week Rayne Durant has come on strong in league play with 10.5 points and 6.3 boards per game.
UMBC (2-2 AE) at Maine (3-0 AE) – 6 PM
The Black Bears play a pair of home games this week as they look to extend their win streak beyond three. The Retrievers, meanwhile, have dropped two straight after a strong start in conference play. They’ve struggled to score the past two contests and are now 0-9 when they fail to reach 60 points. Maine, meanwhile, has won each of its three #AEHoops contests by at least 12 points. Adrianna Smith leading the league in both scoring (22.0) and rebounding (12.3) over that span, while Anne Simon is putting up 14.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Jaliena Sanchez is averaging a team-best 11.3 points per game in league play.
NJIT (0-3 AE) at New Hampshire (0-4 AE) – 6 PM
Two of the conference’s three winless teams face off in Durham on Thursday with both looking for a key victory. In #AEHoops action, the Wildcats rank eighth in both scoring offense (54.3) and scoring defense (67.5), and are coming off a one-point loss to Bryant on Saturday. Breezie Williams has been solid, averaging 8.3 points, 3.8 steals and 3.0 assists per game. NJIT is ninth in both scoring offense (52.7) and scoring defense (71.7). Alejandra Zuniga is putting up 13.3 points with 4.0 rebounds per game.
Binghamton (0-3 AE) at Vermont (3-1 AE) – 6 PM
The Bearcats seek their first win on the road Thursday after a tough two-point loss at home against UAlbany on Thursday. They’re seventh in the league in both scoring offense (54.7) and scoring defense (64.0) in league play, led by Jadyn Weltz who is averaging 8.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. The Catamounts have won two straight by 13+ points after a loss to Maine and are third in the league in scoring (63.3) while ranking second in field goal percentage (43.5%). Emma Utterback leads three players in double figures with 16.0 points, 5.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds per contest. Vermont has won five straight against the Bearcats.
