BOSTON – It was the four road teams which earned a sweep on Thursday, highlighted by an impressive Vermont comeback and a big win by Maine to remain undefeated.
UMass Lowell 70, NJIT 67 – Box Score
The River Hawks trailed by just three points at the break and by four after 30 minutes. In the fourth they outscored NJIT 15-6 over the final eight minutes and didn’t allow a point in the final two minutes to secure their second straight conference win. Mili Carrera led the offense with 18 points, five blocks and four rebounds, while Rayne Durant had 14 points, three blocks and nine boards. Sydney Watkins added four points, ten assists, six boards and three steals. Trinity Williams had 11 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks for NJIT.
Bryant 62, Binghamton 51 – Box Score
The Bulldogs led from the jump and though the Bearcats got close in the second half, Bryant was able to provide head coach Lynne-Ann Kokoski with her first #AEHoops win. The Bulldogs did work inside, outscoring Binghamton 40-26 and shooting 41.4 percent from the floor. Mariona Planes Fortney impressed with 21 points and 12 boards, while Kemari Reynolds added nine points, nine rebounds and three steals. Genevieve Coleman led the Bearcats with 21 points and eight boards.
Vermont 70, UMBC 55 – Box Score
It was a tale of two halves as the Catamounts trailed at the break but outscored the Retrievers 46-23 over the final 20 minutes of the contest to earn their second conference win of the year. Keira Hanson came off the bench to drill five threes, finishing with 19 points. Emma Utterback added 19 points, seven assists and four rebounds while Anna Olson also had 19 points. Ann Blount paced UMBC with 13 points and seven rebounds as the Retrievers shot just 23.1% from the floor in the second half.
Maine 78, New Hampshire 52 – Box Score
Olivia Rockwood hit a three to conclude the first quarter and give Maine a 19-5 edge over UNH. The Black Bears never looked back, playing their way to an impressive 78-52 road victory. Adrianna Smith finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds and four assists while Rockwood finish with four threes and 12 points. Bella Stuart paced the Wildcat offense with 14 points and four rebounds. Breezie Williams had five points, six steals and five assists.

UMass Lowell (2-1 AE, 2-13) at UMBC (2-1 AE, 6-9) – 1 PM
The River Hawks seek to make it three straight wins when they continue their road trip down to UMBC on Saturday. The Retrievers look to bounce back from their loss to UVM and improve to 3-1 for a second straight year.
Vermont (2-1 AE, 10-7) at NJIT (0-2 AE, 8-7) – 1 PM
UVM continues its road trip looking for a second straight victory after an impressive second half. NJIT is in search of its first conference win and an offensive outburst after failing to crack 60 points in each of its first two games.
New Hampshire (0-3 AE, 6-10) at Bryant (1-2 AE, 8-8) – 2 PM
The Bulldogs earned their first conference win on Thursday and want to make it two straight at home. UNH, meanwhile, is still seeking its first conference victory of the season after falling to unbeaten Maine at home.
UAlbany (2-0 AE, 13-2) at Binghamton (0-2 AE, 5-10) – 2 PM
The Great Danes look to stay perfect and play for the first time in a week. The Bearcats have struggled to find an offensive groove in #AEHoops action but face off against the league's toughest scoring defense.
