BOSTON, MA - Vermont was the only school to compete last weekend, but had great success at the Equality Cross Country Run Invitational hosted by St. Michael’s College. Both men’s and women’s teams took first place at the meet. The meet was highlighted on the women’s side by first ever first place finish from Clare Kelly and on the men’s side Vermont took nine spots out of the top ten finishes.
The 2023 #AEXC Championships are just about one month out. This year’s championship will be hosted by Maine at the Penobscot Valley Country Club on Friday, October 27th. Check out #AEXC Championship Central for more information.

Male Performer of the Week
James Cilwik, Vermont - So., Derby, Vt.
- Raced his second victory of the season at the Equality Invitational
- Won gold with a time of 25:45.3 with an average mile of 5:17.3
Female Performer of the Week
Clare Kelly, Vermont - Jr., New Providence, NJ
- Running a time of 31:38.1, Kelly placed first in the Equality Invitational
- Captured her first career victory with an average pace of 6:24.5
