BOSTON – Maine and New Hampshire opened #AEFH play with perfect 2-0 records, while UMass Lowell also earned a pair of victories, including one over #18 UMass on Sunday.
Maine needed overtime, but clinched a 2-0 start with a 5-4 win over Stanford after taking down UC Davis on Friday. New Hampshire beat the Aggies 7-1 and then edged the Cardinal 3-1 at home. UMass Lowell’s 2-1 victory over #18 UMass was their first against the in-state foe in program history. The River Hawks also shut out Northeastern 3-0. UAlbany, Vermont and Bryant managed victories last week as well.
Conference play will be in full force this weekend with six contests. California travels to face UAlbany and Vermont, while UC Davis and Stanford face off on Friday afternoon. New Hampshire travels to Vermont on Friday, while UMass Lowell makes the trek up to Maine. On Sunday, UAlbany will travel to face Bryant.

Mallory Mackesy, Maine – So, Forward, Stony Creek, Ontario
- Totaled four goals and two assists for 10 points as Maine started conference play 2-0.
- Scored both goals in the Black Bears’ 2-0 win over UC Davis.
- Tallied two goals and two assists, including an assist on the game-winning goal in OT, as Maine edged Stanford 5-4.
- This is Mackesy’s first #AEFH Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Marie Oliemans, UMass Lowell – Fr., Goalkeeper, Driebergen, Netherlands
- Led UMass Lowell to a 2-0 record, while posting one shutout, a 0.50 GAA and an .857 save percentage.
- Made two saves as the River Hawks took down #18 UMass 2-1 for the first time in program history.
- Stopped all four shots in a shutout of Northeastern.
- This is Oliemans’ first career #AEFH Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Saylor Kuefler, Maine – Fr., Forward, Coquitlam, British Columbia
- Totaled five points on two goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for Maine.
- Scored twice, including a go-ahead goal in the fourth quarter as the Black Bears edged Stanford 5-4.
- Dished off an in a 2-0 win over UC Davis.
- This is Kuefler’s second career #AEFH Rookie of the Week honor.
