BOSTON – League play begins in women's soccer on Sunday with four games. The nine #AEWSOC teams will be competing to finish in the top six in the standings and qualify for the conference championship.
2023 #AEWSOC Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 11
Offensive Player of the Week
Abby Kraemer, Maine - Jr., Forward, Waterloo, Ont.
- Scored 3 goals to lead Maine to a 2-0 week.
- Had the game winner vs. Boston University on Thursday and had both games in a win over UIC on Sunday.
- This is Kraemer's first #AEWSOC Offensive Player of the Week of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Samanta Breton, Bryant - Jr., Defender, Chicopee, Mass.
- Contributed to defense that shut out Stonehill and allowed only four shots on goal.
- Scored one of the Bulldogs' two goals.
- This is Breton's first career #AEWSOC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Merle Hueser, NJIT - Fr., Defender, Rheinstetten, Germany
- Played all 180 minutes in NJIT's two games.
- Contributed to a defense that allowed just two goals in an unbeaten week.
- This is Hueser's first career #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor.

Fans will once again be able to watch nearly every #AEWSOC contest this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV.
