BOSTON – Fresh off the program’s sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, New Hampshire edged nationally ranked Vermont in the 2023 America East Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll. The poll was released on Wednesday afternoon and was voted upon by the league’s head coaches.
The Wildcats and Catamounts were separated by a single point with UNH earning four first place votes and UVM securing the remaining three. Both programs were ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll released last week, with Vermont in 12th and New Hampshire at 23. UAlbany and UMBC tied for third in the poll with 34 points apiece, while NJIT (19), Binghamton (18) and Bryant (17) were separated by two points. UMass Lowell took eighth with 11 points.
