BOSTON – Three #AEWSOC teams continued strong starts to the 2023 season with unbeaten weeks as Maine, UNH and Vermont each went unscathed last week. The Black Bears went 1-0-1 with a win over Stonehill and a tie vs. Holy Cross while UNH and Vermont each won their sole contests.
Seventeen more games take place this week with all nine schools in action on Thursday.

Offensive Player of the Week
Meghan Guarente, New Hampshire – Jr., Forward/Midfielder, Sewell, N.J.
- Had a goal and an assist in UNH’s 2-0 win over Manhattan.
- This is Guarente’s first #AEWSOC Offensive Player of the Week of the season.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Sally Rainey, New Hampshire – Fr., Goalkeeper, West Lebanon, N.H.
- Stopped all four shots she faced in a 2-0 shutout win over Manhattan.
- This is Rainey’s first career #AEWSOC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Kylee Carafoli, Vermont - So., Goalkeeper, Plymouth, Mass.
- Stopped all four shots she faced in a 1-0 shutout win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
- This is Carafoli’s first career #AEWSOC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Luise Reinwald, Maine – Fr., Defender, Munich, Germany
- Recorded her second assist of the season in a Maine’s win over Stonehill on Sunday.
- This is Reinwald’s first-straight #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor to start the season.
