2023 #AEVB Season Begins Friday!

BOSTON – The 2023 #AEVB season begins Friday with all six teams in action. It’s an opening weekend full of action as the teams combine for a total of 18 matches to be played through Sunday.  
  
The preseason favorite UMBC will be on the road competing at the JMU Invitational, starting with their first match on Friday vs. Ohio at 1:30 pm. They’ll face High Point the following day at 12:30 pm, before concluding vs. James Madison on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Both High Point and James Madison both sit atop their preseason polls. 

Last season’s regular season champions start their year with three-straight home matches, as Binghamton welcomes Merrimack, Duquesne, and St. Peter’s into town. Action begins on Friday at 7:00 pm, before continuing on Saturday at 1:00 and 7:00 pm. 
 
New Hampshire is the sole team to open their season with a doubleheader on Friday as they compete in the Indiana Invitational. The Wildcats start their day vs. Southern Indiana at 1:00 pm and conclude against host Indiana at 7:00 pm. They close out the invitational on Saturday as they take on Radford at 12:00 pm. 

Bryant starts their season at 6:00 pm on Friday as the Bulldogs take on UNLV in their first game of three at the Air Force Tournament. NJIT finds themselves competing at the Hofstra Invitational where the Highlanders open their season vs. Delaware State at 3:00 pm. The Great Danes will host the UAlbany Invitational, opening vs. Syracuse at 7:00 pm. 
 
Fans will once again be able to watch nearly every #AEVB contest this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching 'America East Conference' in app stores.
