2023 #AEMSOC Season Starts Thursday

BOSTON – THE 2023 #AEMSOC season opens on Thursday evening with seven men’s soccer programs taking to the pitch and the final team playing a day later. All eight programs will play again on Sunday or Monday as well.
 
No. 12 Vermont hosts Western Michigan, who was picked second in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Poll this year, at 6 PM on ESPN+ this Thursday. The Catamounts then travel to No. 22 Akron on Monday evening.
 
No. 23 New Hampshire goes to VCU on Thursday at 8:15 PM for a matchup on ESPN+, before hosting Boston University on Sunday at 5 p.m.
 
Bryant begins the Ruben Resendes era on Thursday in Smithfield at 7 p.m. against Central Connecticut, while NJIT, UMBC, UAlbany and Binghamton are all on the road Thursday night. UMass Lowell travels to Lafayette on Friday.
 
On Sunday, NJIT travels to Northwestern while UAlbany hosts Villanova and Bryant goes to Fairfield. Monday is highlighted by Binghamton traveling to face defending national champion Syracuse at 7 p.m., while UMBC hosts Old Dominion and UMass Lowell plays at Northeastern.
 
Fans will once again be able to watch nearly every #AEMSOC contest this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

The America East is one of the best men’s soccer conferences in the country. The conference has received multiple bids to the NCAA tournament in four of the past eight seasons, with Vermont and New Hampshire reaching each of the past two years. Overall, four different teams have reached the third round of the NCAA tournament since 2014, highlighted by UMBC getting all the way to the College Cup in 2014.
