#AEBASE Trio Earns Collegiate Newspaper All-America Honors

The America East Player of the Year, Jeremiah Jenkins, caps his standout season with Third-Team All-America honors. Jenkins led all Black Bears with 20 home runs and 75 RBI over the season. Slashing a .378/.508/.771, he added 12 doubles, 1 triple to his season totals and earned him All-America honors for the second straight year. 
 
UMBC’s Leewood Molessa ends his debut career with being part of the 2023 Freshman All-American Team. The America East Rookie of the Year had a standout season batting a .294 with 16 home runs, 15 doubles, and a triple. Molessa leads UMBC in single season RBI with 66 on the year. 
 
Gianni Gambardella of Maine ends his breakout season with 2023 Freshman All-American Team honors. The relief pitcher ends his extraordinary season with an ERA of 2.91 over 55.2 innings of work. Gambardella recorded 42 strikeouts on the season, earned America East All-Conference and All-Rookie Teams as well as America East Tournament MVP after pitching 8.0 shutout innings in the championship game.
