#AEMLAX Week 11: Three Teams Secure Championship Berths

BOSTON – The picture for the 2023 America East men’s lacrosse championship is becoming clearer with just two weeks left to go. Vermont solidified its spot atop the standings with a 13-12 win over Bryant. The Catamounts and Bulldogs both secured championship berths over the weekend, as did Binghamton. The Bearcats downed UMBC 16-13 to lock up a bid.

UAlbany, which knocked off NJIT, 13-7, can lock up the fourth and final berth with a win over Merrimack on Saturday. Additionally, Vermont can secure at least a share of the regular-season title and the right to host the league championship for the second-straight year with a win over UMass Lowell on Saturday.

Teams are battling for positioning to earn a top four spot in the league standings and qualify for the conference championship, which takes place May 4 & 6 at the No. 1 seed.
The preseason poll was announced on January 25.
