BOSTON - Eight of the nine #AETF teams competed last weekend with Vermont hosting their own meet. At the UMass Flagship Spring Opener on the women’s side, UAlbany led the #AETF teams coming in fourth, with Bryant in 6th and Maine in 9th. On the men’s side, Bryant finished 4th, UAlbany 5th and Maine finished 7th. New Hampshire traveled to Vermont in their Quad meet, where the men placed 3rd and the women took 2nd place. Vermont women won their home meet while the men came in 2nd.
UAlbany men are ranked 9th in the Northeast, leading all #AETF teams in the Northeast. The UMass Lowell men moved up one spot to put them at 20th in the Northeast. Following them is the UMBC men’s team at 21st in the Mid-Atlantic region. Also in the top 25 are the Binghamton men at 23, up three spots from last week, the NJIT men are now at 24 in the Mid-Atlantic region, and the Maine men coming in at 25th in the Northeast region. UAlbany still leads on the women’s side, staying in the top-10 in the Northeast ranking 6th this week. The Bryant women have moved up 3 spots in the Northeast and are now ranked 18th in the Northeast, with Binghamton and Maine behind them at the 19th and 20th spots. Following them is the UMBC women staying at the 22 spot in the Mid-Atlantic region. The UMass Lowell women break into the top 25 moving up one spot from last week to put them at 25 in the Northeast.

Male Track Performer of the Week
Nicolas Alphonse, UMBC - Sr., Hurdles, Stamford, Conn.
- Took 2nd in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 14.74. Currently is ranked 2nd in the conference and 26th in Mid-Atlantic region
- Placed 3rd in the 400 Hurdles coming in at a time of 53.78. Alphonse’s personal best puts him at the top of the conference leaderboard as well as 17th in the Mid-Atlantic region
Male Field Performer of the Week
Travis Robinson, UAlbany - Jr., Throws, Kingston, Jamaica
- Finished 1st in the discus throw with a distance of 176’9”. Robinson’s throw ranks him 1st in the conference and 2nd in the Northeast
- Also came in 4th for the shot put with a throw of 51’11.25”. His distance is 2nd in the conference leaderboard and 17th in the Northeast
Female Track Performer of the Week
Brinesha Derrick-Bain, UAlbany - Fr., Sprints/Hurdles, Brooklyn, N.Y.
- Took 1st in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:02.96
- Derrick-Bain’s time ranks her 1st in the conference
Female Field Performer of the Week
Ava Roberts, UMBC - So., Throws, Elkins Park, Pa.
- In the discus, Roberts threw a personal best of 158’0”, taking home the gold in the event
- Her throw is ranked 1st in the America East and 6th in the Northeast region
