#AEMLAX Week 8: Binghamton, Bryant, Vermont Stay Unbeaten in League Play

BOSTON – Binghamton, Bryant and Vermont all stayed unbeaten in #AEMLAX play as the three teams earned wins last week. Additionally, UMBC picked up its first league victory of the year.
 
Teams will vie for positioning the next six weeks to earn a top four spot in the league standings and qualify for the conference championship, which takes place May 4 & 6 at the No. 1 seed. 
The preseason poll was announced on January 25.
 
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEMLAX Weekly Award Winners – March 28
Offensive Player of the Week
Brock Haley, Vermont – Sr., Attacker, Brooklin, Ont.
  • Tallied eight points for the second consecutive week.
  • Racked up six goals and two assists in a win over UAlbany on Saturday.
  • This is Haley’s third Offensive Player of the Week honor this season and of his career.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Nathan Lailberte, Bryant – Jr., Faceoff, Auburn, N.H.
 
  • Picked up eight ground balls in win over UMass Lowell.
  • Went 14-of-18 on faceoffs.
  • Also scored a pair of goals.
  • This is Lailberte’s first career Defensive Player of the Week honor and first of the season.
 
Rookie of the Week
Johnny Hackett, Bryant – Fr., Attacker, Winnetka, Ill.
  • Racked up five points on four goals and an assist in Bryant’s win over UMass Lowell.
  • This is Hacket’s fifth Rookie of the Week award already this season.
