BOSTON – Three men’s basketball teams went unbeaten last week, the three teams currently at the the top of the #AEHoops standings. Vermont won its lone game while UMass Lowell and Bryant each went 2-0. Six of the nine #AEHoops teams won games last week.
- Vermont has won five straight games by an average of 17.4 points per game.
- The Catamounts top the league standings at 7-2
- UMass Lowell has won back-to-back games and sits in second place at 7-4.
- The River Hawks are 19-6 overall and have already set a program Division I record for wins in a season.
- Bryant won both games last week, wins over surging Maine and UNH, and is tied with the Wildcats in third place at 6-4.
- Typically powered by its high-flying offense, Bryant clamped down on defense last week holding its two opponents to an average of 49.5 points per game.
- Maine's 10 wins are its most since the 2012-13 season. The Black Bears beat UMBC on Saturday.

The league champion will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, where America East teams have won nine games all-time, including UMBC’s historic upset of Virginia in 2018.

Player of the Week
Earl Timberlake, Bryant – Jr., Forward, Washington, D.C.
- Averaged a double-double of 15.5 points and 12.0 rebounds in leading Bryant to a 2-0 week.
- Also added 3.5 assists per game and shot 68 percent from the field (13-for-19)
- Had 18 points, 14 rebounds and five assists in a win over Maine on Wednesday.
- Followed up with 13 points and 10 boards vs. UNH on Saturday.
- This is Timberlake’s first career #AEHoops Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Dion Brown, UMBC – Fr., Guard, Great Barrington, Mass.
- Scored team-high 19 points and added six rebounds vs. Maine on Saturday.
- Averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds for the week while shooting 62 percent from the floor (8-for-13).
- This is Brown’s second #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor of the season (12/19).
