America East Hosting Esports Invitational in Conjunction with Basketball Playoffs

The America East Conference announced today esports teams from the conference’s member institutions will compete in an exclusive Rocket League Invitational in conjunction with the 2023 Jersey Mike’s America East Men’s & Women’s Basketball Playoffs. Teams will compete in qualifying matches on March 5 with the top four teams advancing to the final playoff competition on March 9.

”We are excited to partner with Playfly Esports to provide a platform for esports teams from around the conference to compete and excited to watch them strive for a championship,” said America East Commissioner, Brad Walker.

The invitational will be operated by Playfly Esports, owners and operators of NACE Starleague, North America's largest collegiate esports league. All matches will be streamed live via the NACE Starleague Twitch channel. Registration remains open until Monday, February 27 to students at America East member institutions. REGISTER HERE

The 2023 Jersey Mike’s America East Playoffs tips off for game with women’s action on Wednesday, March 1 and men’s games on Saturday, March 4, all on ESPN+. The women’s championship game is scheduled for Friday, March 10 at 5 p.m. on ESPNU with the men’s championship game slated for Saturday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. on ESPN2.

The NACE Starleague Spring 2023 season will kick off soon and feature weekly Rocket League matchups Monday night at 7 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. PT. The full spring schedule can be found at twitch.tv/nacestarleague.
